Where $V \times L$ is the actual liquid volume in the vessel.

Status	Time (min)	Effect
Optimal	> 4.0	Excellent gas-oil separation.
Good	2.0 - 4.0	Standard operating range.
Low	1.0 - 2.0	Risk of liquid carry-over in gas line.
Critical	< 1.0	Poor separation / Possible emulsion issues.
