Pressure Vessel Wall Thickness (ASME)

How to Use:
  • This tool calculates the Minimum Allowable Wall thickness for pressure vessels per ASME specifications.
  • Modify values in the P (Pressure) and R/D (Radius/Diameter) columns only.
  • Calculations are valid for vessels fabricated from SA 285 Grade C or ASTM 516 Grade 70 plate.
  • Constants used: Allowable Stress (S) = 17,500 PSI, Joint Efficiency (E) = 1, Corrosion Allowance (C.A.) = 0.125 in.
