Q & A
-
what is Stimulation?
-
the definition of stimulation means that it is a process that is unsteady state, non-isothermal, 3-D flow in porous media with chemical reactions needed to dissolve the rock
we are injecting and the velocity and the pressure actually changes with time beside changing in temperature also.
-
the reaction 3d flow were not any more linear flow or not anymore radial flow were actually much closer to a spherical flow with the acid depending on the ratio between the vertical horizontal permeability
-
we are injecting inside the formation then we have reducing in the velocity medium flow so we are expecting to increase in both porosity and permeability
sometimes we have soluble products and sometimes we don't have soluble products
-
at end of any acidizing we aim to enhance well productivity and much better rate comparing before acidizing
we need to reduce the skin factor especially if the near well pore area that coming from the damage
-
when the acid treatment needed?
when you have a damage; we are not using acid treatment to increase the production, it will help if you have a damage only, and the way that you know that you have a damage is just simple definition you have unusual or unexpected reduction in oil production, this is can happening like as gradual reduction or suddenly reduction because of something happen to the well (blug, block perforation)
and you can look to gas oil ratio,
if gas oil ratio increased that is an evidence that you have some sort of damage in the formation.
