1. Pressure test

  • Hydrostatic test for make sure that line has no leak

  • It is a testing against the valves of Christmas tree and against the hydraulic valves specifically

  • It is a test against the all the valves of the line up and all the valves of Christmas tree

4. injectivity test

  • It is a test against the mud/formation or the perforation of the reservoir to check how much the pumping rate it will take under a specific pressure

5. BS&W

    We do it by following procedures:-
  • Take 100mm from the sample point once not in two times
  • We put it in centerfigue glass and rotate it a minute or 60 times
  • Then we see the rate of the oil
  • We can take ph also by flipping it up down and put the paper of the ph under to get drops of liquid to compare the color.

5. API

  • if BS&W is 0% we can take api direct by filling 500mm graduated cylinder with oil from the sample point
  • if BS&W > 0% we can fill a container with liquid from the sample point then we can make a crack open in the bottom of the container valve to let dispose the water from the container to get pure oil then we can fill the cylinder with that pure oil to meassure API using hydrometer and meassuring the temperature also

    (Api) Quality

  1. Condensate (50 or more)
  2. Light oil (20-45)
  3. Crude oil (less api)

6. Water SG

  • if we have no oil at surface we can fill a cylinder from the sample point then using the water SG hydrometer
  • but if we have oil at surface we need to use the container to collect the disposed water in a cylinder then using the water SG hydrometer

7. Gas SG

  • and SG is specific gravity.

12.What is silica gel used in and what different colors can it have?

  • Silica gel is used in absorbing the humidity or water vapor from air and it has a deep blue color when it is dry and pink color when it is wet.
